The Nursing Students’ Association (NUSA) under the School of Nursing UCC presents the 5th annual week celebration. The program outline is as follows:

THEME: Accelerating progress towards attaining MDG 4 and 5 by 2015; The Role of the Graduate Nurse

OUTLINE FOR THE WEEK

DAY 1- Saturday 1st March, 2014

TIME: 5am
Nestle health walk/ aerobics with gym instructor for the sensitization of week celebration
Converging point UCC house of parliament

DAY 2- Monday 3rd March, 2014

Time: 9am
Radio launching at ATL FM and Radio Central FM
Official launching at SMS Auditorium
Seminar at SMS auditorium
Time: 11am  Seminar and time with the dean and lecturers

DAY 3- Wednesday 5th March, 2014

Time: 9am
Open day adjacent UCC house of Parliament
Activities Include;
Blood Donation
Hepatitis B Screening
Basic Health screening and counseling services such as;
Blood pressure checking
Random blood sugar levels
BMI determination
Outreach

DAY 4th – Thursday 6th March, 2014

Time: 10am
Venue: SMS auditorium
Dress code: Formal
Integrity conference
Pfizer One day refreshers Training Course on Exclusive breastfeeding and proper weaning practices

DAY 5-  Friday 7th March, 2014

Venue: Kwame Nkrumah Hall Sports complex UCC
Time: 12pm
Assorted Games (lnter levels)
Trophy and award packages

DAY 6- Saturday 8th March, 2014

Socialization at coconut grove hotel
Pre-trip to Elmina Castle
All at a cool cost of 12 GHcedis

Thanksgiving service at University lnterdenominational Church, UCC

Official dress for MON and TUES is nurses uniform…best dressed student nurse will be awarded!!!
