The Atlantic Hall has launched its 50th anniversary hall week celebrations in mega style a week ago at the FELT Auditorium 900 on the theme “Celebrating 50 years of inculcating knowledge, initiative and dynamism in mariners”.

The launch will kick start activities lined up for the 50th hall week celebrations.

The immediate past master of the hall, Dr. K.T. Annan Prah in his speech at the launch narrated how education in Ghana had evolved from castle schools into very good universities today. He established how basic and essential tertiary education has become and encouraged students present at the event to take the opportunity given them in the university with much seriousness.

The former hall master  drew the attention of the audience to the peace that the dove in the ATL hall logo represent and stated emphatically that development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.

Dr. Annan Prah challenged mariners to think outside the box and seek for more knowledge through further studies in and outside the country.

The event which was well attended saw the presence of past and present hall masters of ATL, Casley Hayford hall master, local NUGS executives, SRC executives, past and present executives of the Great Atlantic hall, ATL traditional council among others.

The launch ended with a fund raising and unveiling of celebration souvenirs.
