Disregard Purported School Fees Increment-SRC Prez

The SRC president of the University of Cape Coast has put to rest rumours widely circulated on social media that students will be paying additional school fees for the 2017/2018 academic year.

It has over the last two weeks been rumoured in a widely circulated social media post that students were to top up their school fees by an additional average of 10% of what they initially paid.

The SRC president, Mr Tony Henry Arthur however watered down those claims during his maiden State of the SRC Address on Wednesday 18th October 2017 before the UCC Parliamentary Council by putting on record that as far as the SRC was concerned there have been no such decision taken and or communicated to them.

He added that they are yet to receive any communication from the Parliament of Ghana regarding the fees tabled before it for approval.

Mr. Arthur assured the students body that he did his best during the school fees negotiations period to ensure that students’ interest is protected.
