SRC/Local NUGS Election Postponed Again

Snippets of unimpeachable information Choicism.com has gathered from sources close to the Electoral Commission of the 2014/2015 SRC/Local NUGS election of the University of Cape Coast indicates that the September, 23 date for the election has been postponed.

The postponement, the source said, was reached following a letter from the Supreme Court addressed to UCC  indicating that the final determination of the case involving Ernest Opoku Nti and the University would be heard on October, 4, and therefore the election be withheld until the determination of the case.

The source further explained that adequate preparations have been put in place to ensure that even if the court adjourned the case on October, 4, the election would be organized.

Some aspirants who spoke to Choicism.com on condition of anonymity expressed worry over the continuous postponement of the election but expressed hope that the matter be resolved quickly to pave way for the election.

It would be recalled that Ernest Opoku Nti took the University of Cape Coast to Court following his disqualification from the race by the vetting Committee.
