TV3 Journalist and choicism.com initiate writing competition

TV3 journalist, Spencer Kwabena Boateng , who  is the brain behind ‘Spreadlove’ campaign , an initiative that seeks to show love to the vulnerable and poor in society, has come up with scholarship package designed to cushion the physically-challenged.

The initiative which is in partnership with choicism.com seeks to reward brilliant but needy physically-challenged persons.

Interested persons are encouraged to partake in a writing competition on the topic:  “Three Ways in which the Ministry of Education can Spread Love to Pupils with Disabilities”.

Deadline for the submission of entries is Friday, February 10, 2017.

SPREADLOVE DISABILITY SCHOLARSHIP AND WRITING COMPETITION
As part of achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Ensure Inclusive and Quality Education for all and Promoting Lifelong Learning) set by the United Nations, Spreadlove Home & Abroad wishes to inform the general public about the ‘SpreadLove Disability Writing Competition’ for pupils with disabilities.
SpreadLove Home & Abroad invites pupils with disabilities to partake in the competition.

Essay Topic:
3 Ways in which the Ministry of Education can Spread Love to Pupils with Disabilities.
NB: Essay should not be more than 200 words.
Eligibility:
Competition is open to all pupils with physical disabilities in either inclusive or special schools in the following regions:
1. Greater Accra
2. Central
3. Eastern
4. Western
5. Ashanti

Candidates should be in junior high school 1, 2 or 3 and should be written under the supervision of a teacher.
Essay should be endorsed by participant’s headteacher.
Package:
Best three candidates would be awarded a SpreadLove Disability Scholarship package.
Seven other good writers would be given consolation prizes.

The ten (10) winners would be contacted by Friday 17th February, 2017 when details of the best 3 packages would be announced. The best three candidates would also be announced on 24th February 2017 in a ceremony at Cape Coast.
