The Acting S.R.C President of the University of Cape Coast, Mr. Francis Kwabena Arthur has stepped down from his position awaiting the determination of the case in court challenging the legitimacy of his position as Ag. S.R.C President.

In a letter addressed to the office of the Dean of Students dated 27th March, 2015, Mr. Arthur sought to “step aside” his duties until the final determination of the case.

Meanwhile, the case seeking an interlocutory injunction of his functions at the office of the S.R.C has been adjourned to the 17th of April, 2015, Choicism.com gathers.

With the current situation, the University of Cape Coast has no S.R.C president and as and when elections will be held is unknown. So who takes charge of the vacant post?

Rumour has it that, some J.C.R.C presidential aspirants are planning to go to court if J.C.R.C elections are not held as soon as possible.

Choicism.com will update you as and when issues surrounding this case unfold.

Below is the letter addressed to the Dean of Students, received by the Registrar, and the Cape Coast High Court.
