UCC Law Student, 9 others Shortlisted for C/R GJA Awards

A final year law student of the University of Cape Coast, Spencer Kwabena Boateng Mensah who doubles as a broadcast journalist for Media General, has been shortlisted for the Central Regional maiden Ghana Journalists Association’s Awards.

The awards ceremony is slated for today Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Pempamsie Hotel in Cape Coast to honour journalists and media practitioners working in the region.

Spencer stands the chance of taking to campus glory for his works in categories including Feature and Education from Ghana’s most prestigious journalism awards.

He is one of less than a handful young journalists working without fear or favour in the areas of disability, education among others; a leading voice for accessibility, social inclusion, education and employment of persons with disability in Ghana.

Popular among his works include: ‘Christian Morgan-Time No Dey; TV3 Talented Kidz 8’, and seasonal report ‘Journey to the West: Disability Life vrs Disability Law’; TV3 News.

The Central Regional Branch of the GJA released a notice on Thursday, August 29, announcing the shortlisted 10 which also include Mary Ama Bawa, morning show host on ATL FM, UCC.
