UCC SRC Week Celebrations Cancelled

The Executive Council of the SRC of the University of Cape Coast could not break the deadlock to pave the grounds for the much advertised SRC Week Celebrations to come off, choicism.com has learned.

The SRC Week was expected to start from April 22, to April, 26, 2015.

Speaking on ATL FM weekly programme “a week on campus”, the Dean of students, Prof Kwaoh Edjah confirmed that the SRC Week Celebrations have been indeed cancelled.

He was of the view that the fact the Ag SRC president had stepped aside did not mean that students could not have fun however, he proposed to the SRC Executive Council and the Planning Committee of the week celebrations to get a front leader who would be held accountable and ensure the celebrations were done peacefully, but they failed to get someone to act in that capacity, hence, the reason for the cancellation.

After the back and forth argument, the Dean said, the Executive Council of the SRC then decided that then year’s week celebrations be cancelled.
