The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Prof.  D. D.  Kuupole has advised students to  be cautious of their security on campus.

Prof. D. D. Kuupole has indicated that, the safety of students on campus is of importance to the school authorities. Thus, there are steps in place to ensure the safety of students on campus.

“The campus security guard and the Ghana Police Service conduct constant patrol on campus and the surrounding communities”, he stated.

Prof D. D. Kuupole was quick to add that, students should be very careful in order to ensure their own safety on campus.

“I will advice that you become very cautious and ensure your own personal safety. That is the best form of security”, he told the students.

In this regard, he advised students to walk in groups especially at nights to save them of the harassments from deviants living amongst them on campus.

The Vice Chancellor made these statements at the University’s matriculation ceremony held on  the Saturday, 17th September, 2016 to officially welcome the fresh students who have been admitted for the 2016/2017 academic year.
