The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) http://ugbs.ug.edu.gh/ has been accepted into the esteemed membership of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The UGBS membership, announced this April, was attained as a result of continuous improvement in areas required by AACSB in its membership attainment assessment. The benefits of membership include, UGBS faculty, staff, and administrators having access to AACSB resources to support and enhance teaching, learning, research and other continuous improvement goals.
The admission into the AACSB fold is the strongest indication yet that UGBS is feverishly positioning itself to most effectively contribute to the University of Ghana’s vision to become a world class research-intensive university.
This prestigious membership also means UGBS now has the opportunity to leverage on its membership status to push for full accreditation which is the highest hallmark of excellence in business education. With AACSB accreditation as the next goal, UGBS aims to align its plans, development and implementation with AACSB’s accreditation standards of strategic management and innovation, especially in the areas of its academic and professional engagements.
