Hon. Adutwum sponsors 61 SHS graduates to study in the University

Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe and Minister for Education, Hon. Yaw Adutwum as part of his effort to support ‘brilliant but needy Bosomtwe students has sponsored on Friday some 61 students to study in various tertiary institutions.

Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum in a social media stated that the over 61 Bosomtwe-based Senior High School graduates will be studying Medicine and various courses in Engineering entirely capitalized by him.

“This morning I bid farewell to 61 students from Bosomtwe who will be studying Medicine and various courses in Engineering fully funded by me, This adds to the already 30 engineering students I funded last year,” he said.

“They will be studying in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University for Development Studies, University of Mines and Technology, University of Energy and Natural Resources and Kumasi Technical University,” he added.

In his last words, he advised the students by encouraging them to make good use of the opportunity and study hard to account for the investment made in them to impact future generations of the constituency.

According to the Bosomtwe MP, “I want to make Bosomtwe stand out and be the best District in terms of human capital development. I will support students to succeed for others to emulate their achievements,” he told his Constituents last year, thus, has come to play.

This initiative by the Minister of Education is basically a tertiary education scholarship mainly for students in the Bosomtwe Constituency who had sat and passed WASSCE to enable them pursue Engineering courses at the University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) in Tarkwa.
