Mr. Edward Dadzie, Director of the Directorate of Physical Development and Estate Management of the University of Cape Coast has indicated that it will be difficult for the UCC sports complex to be completed before the commencement of the GUSSA games.
The development officer associated the inability to complete the project to the late commencement of construction.
Speaking to ATL FM’s Alex Kobina Stonne, Mr. Dadzie was hopeful that some facilities will be made ready to enhance the games; however, the organizers are scouting for other venues within Cape Coast.
Mr. Dadzie explained that the organization of the event will be hampered by this challenge, in the sense that the participants would have to be conveyed to and from different venues for the various activities.
He added that more efforts and resources will be needed to make it a success.
Mr. Dadzie gave an assurance that this will in no way affect any of the activities since the committee put in place will ensure the success of the GUSA games.
