Dean of Students of the University of Cape Coast, Dr.Koawo Edjah, on Friday, October,31, 2014 swore-in newly elected SRC/Local NUGS executives with a call on them to be fair minded, objective, honest and modest in the discharge of their duties.
He said that morality and discipline should be part of them, adding that, God on their side they would be able to administer their leadership visions to the university.
The SRC/LNUGS executives, who took the oath of allegiance, included Messrs Eugene Mbila, SRC Treasurer; Micheal Seyram Bruce,Sports Secretary; Muniru Azuug,L/NUGS President; Opoku Agyemang,L/NUGS Secretary.
The rest were; Racheal Naa Atswee,SRC Secretary; Rachael Aryee, L/NUGS Women Commissioner; Enoch Acheampong,L/NUGS PRO, Daniel Bossman, L/NUGS Co-ordinating Secretary and Bismark Oppong Manu,L/NUGS Loan Officer.
Dr.Koawo reminded the leaders to put the institution interest above their parochial interest and also work tirelessly to justify the confidence and trust reposed in them by the Students.
He admonished students to exhaust all the existing apparatus on campus when they are discontent with issues rather than going to the law court.
Dr.Koawo also advised them against discriminating against the students they served based on their ethnic, social, religious or political affiliation.
Racheal Atswee, on behalf of her colleagues commended the School authorities for organising elections and promised they would execute their jobs professionally.
