Project Hope Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in the University of Cape Coast made a presentation of food, toiletries and used clothing to the “Helping Hand Children’s Home” at Gomoa.
The gesture formed part of the core mandate of the members to help the poor and vulnerable in society
Presenting the items, the P. R. O of Project Hope Foundation, Mr. Selorm Dorkenoo said the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of children all over Ghana and Africa as a whole.
Accepting the items, the head of the home, Mr. Evans Asomani expressed his sincere gratitude to the Project Hope Foundation and promised that everything donated to them, would be put to proper use to help put smiles on the faces of the children.
Speaking in an interview off-record, Mr. Dorkenoo said that one of the foundation’s goals is to make the youth the driving force to make change in the societies in which they found themselves by engaging in volunteerism.
He also added that the foundation will be embarking other campaigns dubbed the “I Put on Charity” and “Project Hope Somewhere in Ghana “. He said that these campaigns are geared towards changing the lives of under privileged children positively all over Ghana.
In April this year, the foundation made a similar presentation to the “New Life Orphanage” at Efutu.
