The University of Cape Coast (UCC) on Saturday, held the 20th Inter-hall Cross Country to hunt for quality talents for the November 7 Ghana Universities Sports Association {GUSA} games at Winneba.
Hundreds of students thronged to the South campus of the school to support their hall athletes.
Emmanuel Duah,a Valco hall athlete, was adjudged the best athlete in the Male category.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the event,the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast,Prof.D.D.Kuupole lauded the athletes for their good sportsmanship,adding that he was convinced that Team UCC would bring the trophy home on November 7.
Kwame Nkrumah Hall (KNH) was adjudged the best athletic hall in both the female and male with 57 and 28 points respectively.
GUSA Cross Country is organized every academic year at a selected university.
This year’s event will be hosted by the University of Education, Winneba on Saturday,November 7 2015.
The UCC Athletics team is expected to start trainning on Monday,October 19 ahead of the GUSA games.
