Some parts of the roof of the G. block, Faculty of Arts, University of Cape Coast has been ripped off by the heavy storm that fell on Thursday afternoon February, 3, 2014.
The heavy rains, which lasted for close to two hours flooded gutters and trees were not left out as branches of trees fell and barricaded roads.
Some eye witnesses were struck with fear as they watched the heavy thunderstorms. No casualties has been recorded so far as apart from the destruction of the roof.
Meanwhile forty-eight hours after the heavy storm, repair works have begun at the Faculty of Arts which was the hardest hit.
The meteorologists have warned of heavy downpour this year and people must brace themselves for similar future torrential rainfalls.
