Lauren Baaba Annan, a third-year Doctor of Pharmacy student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and aspiring SRC President, has taken a bold step in promoting sexual health awareness on campus. In an initiative aimed at educating students on safe sexual practices and reproductive health, Lauren, widely known as The LAW, organized a sexual health education session and distributed free condoms to students.

The session, which took place at key locations on campus, provided students with vital information on sexually transmitted infections (STIs), contraceptive options, and responsible sexual behavior. Lauren emphasized the importance of making informed choices and prioritizing personal health.
“As young people, access to the right information about sexual health is crucial. My goal is to ensure that students have the knowledge and resources to protect themselves and make responsible decisions,” she stated during the event.
Many students expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating that it was an eye-opener. “This is an important conversation that we need to have more often. The education, coupled with the free condoms, will help students practice safe sex and prevent unwanted pregnancies and infections,” one student remarked.
Lauren Baaba Annan continues to advocate for student welfare through impactful initiatives, reinforcing her commitment to health, education, and leadership.
