The management of the National Service Scheme has hinted that arrears for the difference in upward adjustment will be paid to active service personnel in due time.
In a press statement released today, management of the National Service Scheme indicated that it has been able to secure government approval for increment in National Service Personnel allowances.
“The Management of the National Service Scheme, (NSS) has secured government approval for increment in National Service Personnel allowances for the upcoming months from the sum of GHȼ559.04 to GHȼ715.57, with effect from January 2023”, the letter stated.
In the press release signed by the Ag. Director, Corporate Affairs, Ambrose Entsiwah Jnr. on Sunday, July 23, 2023, he mentioned that the approval is as a result of series of engagements between NSS, Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, and the Ministry of finance.
He mentioned that the approval of the letter was contained in a letter dated 18th July 2023 and signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare (MP).
The letter as inscribed, also directs the Controller and Accountant-General to actuate the new levels of the National Service Personnel allowances.
Additionally the management of NSS entreats all active personnel to exercise patience as the necessary administrative processes are being concluded to have all the arrears duly paid.
