Norman-Led SRC Implements 50% Fee Payment Policy to Ease Financial Burden on Students

In a groundbreaking move aimed at enhancing financial flexibility for students, the Norman-Led SRC Administration of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has successfully implemented the 50% Fee Payment Policy. This policy allows students who have paid at least 50% of their tuition fees to register for their courses, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic progress.

This initiative reflects the SRC’s commitment to student welfare, acknowledging the economic challenges many students face. The policy was introduced following consultations with key stakeholders, including university management and student representatives, to create a sustainable model that balances financial responsibility with academic accessibility.

Speaking on the policy’s impact, SRC President Abraham Norman Nortey emphasized that this milestone is a major win for students, reinforcing the administration’s dedication to practical solutions that address student concerns. He assured students of continuous advocacy for policies that support their academic journey.

The 50% Fee Payment Policy is part of a broader agenda to enhance financial inclusivity at UCC, ensuring that no student is left behind due to economic hardship. The SRC encourages all students to take advantage of this opportunity and stay informed about future developments.

This achievement highlights the Norman-Led Administration’s proactive leadership, proving that with dedication and student-centered governance, meaningful change is possible.
