A book which chronicles the history of the University of Cape Coast has been launched as part of activities marking the golden jubilee anniversary of the university at FELT Auditorium 900.
The book which is written by Dr. Osei Kwarteng and Dr. Boadi Siaw highlights the history of UCC taking readers down memory lane when the university was established with 155 as first batch of students to the days when the university became known as the ‘University of Constant Confusion’ till today when the university is recognised as the ‘University of Competitive Choice’.
The book also entails responsibilities of students and lecturers.
At the launching ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D.D. Kuupole encouraged both lecturers and students to purchase the book so that they would become abreast with the successes and challenges that the university had passed through.
The first three copies of the book were auctioned for GHC1000 each.
