UCC Local NUGS introduces ‘UCC Opportunity Desk’ to the Student body- a chance to explore

The Local NUGS Secretariat of the University of Cape Coast(UCC) under the leadership of Famous K. Banini, Local NUGS President has introduced on Wednesday a project made to students as means of life-changing opportunities to help equip students while in school and after school.

This initiative dubbed, “NUGS- UCC OPPORTUNITY DESK” is set to draw NUGS near to the Student body including opportunities such as scholarships, conferences, fellowships, jobs, internships among others which will be opened to both graduate and undergraduate students of UCC.

However, as part of the opportunities given to the student body, The Local NUGS has introduced a year-round program called the CLINTON GLOBAL INITIATIVE  UNIVERSITY 2022 to help develop the next generation of leaders and social entrepreneurs by giving undergraduate and graduate students access to training and mentorship opportunities.

This Clinton Foundation initiative has been in existence for a decade. It’s a cost-free program but students must commit to addressing a local or global challenge and this commitment is called a “Commitment to Action”. The deadline for registration is 21 Jan 2022.

Also, The local NUGS of UCC and the management of UCC have extended the sales of the E-Vouchers for undergraduate admissions. This is to give the opportunity to 2021 students who took part in the WASSCE to apply to the University of Competitive Choice and to give chance to applicants who wish to make changes before 17th December 2021 which will be the last day of applying.

The admission forms cost GHC 220 available at the Cashiers Office, University of Cape Coast(Mode of Payment Cash), University of Cape Coast Accra Office, Tesano Accra ( Mode of Payment CASH), Ghana Post Company Limited ( Regional and District Capitals) ( Mode of Payment CASH) and also I J Consult Millennium City, Kasoa ( Off Pentecost Convention Centre Road) ( Mode of Payment CASH).
