UCC SRC Organises buses For Fresh Students

ucc logone.jpg - 7.18 KBThe Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has initiated plans to transport tens of thousands of fresh students from their region to campus.

The programme dubbed:”THE SRC HUSTLE FREE TRANSPORT SYSTEM” seeks to conveniently convey fresh students to campus,as well as to their halls of residence,at a very subsidized cost.

The programme,according to the SRC, is aimed at preventing the situation where fresh students are robbed, attacked and charged unreasonable prices by commercial drivers, when they arrive on campus as a result of sheer ignorance.

The move was conveyed in a statement signed by the SRC Scribe, Elizabeth Dwamena on Monday, said:” Interested students are to pay the amount at the GCB Bank,formally known as Ghana Commercial Bank(GCB) into the SRC’s account number 3021130000490.

It added amongst others things that:” The buses to be used are the State Transport Corporation (STC) and the Metro Mass Transit (MMT).

The statement advised fresh men and women not to joke with their safety,adding that, students should “Do well to subscribe to this programme to give a comfortable and conveniently drive to your halls of residence.

Fresh students are expected on campus on Saturday,August 8,2015.
