UCC SRC President Abraham Norman Nortey Fulfills 10GB Data Promise to Students

In a remarkable display of leadership and commitment, Abraham Norman Nortey, the SRC President of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), has successfully delivered on his campaign promise to provide students with a 10GB data bundle. This initiative is aimed at complementing the existing WiFi connectivity on campus, ensuring that students have the necessary resources to enhance their online learning experience.

President Norman has encouraged students to utilize the data package effectively for their academic activities, including research, assignments, quizzes, and virtual lectures.

This accomplishment is yet another testament to Norman’s visionary leadership. In just three months in office, he has introduced innovative initiatives that have significantly impacted student welfare. Despite his relatively short tenure, he continues to demonstrate competence, honesty, and an unwavering dedication to the student body.

True to his word, Norman assured students upon assuming office in December 2024 that the 10GB data package would be rolled out by March 2025 and he has delivered right on schedule on 20th March, 2025 . His ability to execute promises with precision underscores his credibility and effectiveness as a leader.

For many students, he has not just fulfilled his initial promise but he has exceeded it. While his campaign pledge was to provide 10GB of data, 250 minutes of call time, and 50 SMS, he has now delivered 10GB of data, 500 minutes of call time (400 CUG + 100 for other MTN numbers), and 200 SMS.

“Abraham Norman Nortey’s tenure is shaping up to be one defined by action rather than words. His leadership is proving to be a beacon of hope for students, setting a new standard for service and commitment,”some students said.
