UCC Student Among Top 30 Young Ghanaian Achievers

A second-year Actuarial Science student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Eric Vondee who is also the C.E.O of My Home Teacher has featured in this year’s edition of the Newaccra Achievers Report, a celebration of unsung Ghanaians tipped to make major impacts in the world in their diverse fields.

The 2015’s report titled ‘The Newaccra Achievers Report 2015; 30 Ghanaian achievers about to shake the world’ is a total of 30 young Ghanaians who are showing future promise in diverse fields were profiled in the report of which Eric Vondee was included.

The report suggests that, few university students want to build a career in teaching after school, and the ones who end up teaching consider it as a stepping stone. But Eric, even as a student, has being able to established his own business venture called My Home Teacher. The idea behind My Home Teacher is to connect parents who need home tutoring for their children, to well-qualified teachers.

According to the report, “Aside Eric’s business venture, he is also a news correspondent for a reputable radio station, a social media strategist for a thriving magazine, and a movie actor and singer. He does all these and still manages to maintain a first class grade point of 3.7”.

“The aim of the report is to shine the spotlight on unsung youth in entrepreneurship and other activity in Ghana.
