A third year student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Andrews Awuah Antwi, reportedly drowned last Saturday during a pool party organized at the Capital Hill Hotel in Cape Coast.
Speaking to myJCR News, a friend who prefers to remain anonymous indicated that colleagues brought him out of the water when he drowned but their efforts to resuscitate him proved futile.
Andrews was reading B.Ed. (Accounting) and was affiliated to the Valco Hall. He was a member of the Ghana Methodist Students Union (GHAMSU-UCC) and was residing at a hostel at Amamoma (a town close to the University.
