A level 400 BSc. Mathematics and Statistics student of UCC, Miss Patricia Kakraba has won a Virgin Atlantic air ticket to the UK at the just ended Springboard Road show in the Central Region.
Several other participants at the road show also won items from raffle draws including books written by some of the speakers at the program, MTN airtime, cartons of mineral water and other souvenirs from sponsors of the event.
The program which took place at Auditorium 900 of the University of Cape Coast over the weekend was attended by students and residents of Cape Coast.
Speakers at the event included Dr. Mensa Otabil, Head pastor at the International Central Gospel Church and Chancellor of the Central University College, Mr. Ace Ankomah, an accomplished lawyer, Dr. Joyce Aryee, former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines. This years’ springboard is under the theme “Going Global”.
Participants at the event were encouraged to open themselves up for opportunities and prepare themselves adequately for the job market as the speakers took turns to address the gathering.
Mr and Mrs Ocran who are the originators of the Springboard Road Show used the occasion to launch their new book “SHEBA”. The Springboard team will be at the Ho polytechnic on the 2nd of March for another exciting edition and the grand finale will be in Kumasi on the 9th of March, 2013.
