The Minister for Communications, Hon. Ursula Owusu, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency has advised young women to stay focused and persistent in seeking knowledge.
She said this during the 5th Edition of the 21st Century Woman program with the theme, ‘Choose to challenge, be bold and stand out’ organized by the SRC of the University of Cape Coast on Friday, July 30, 2021.
“Be persistent in seeking knowledge, advise, assistance, help. Don’t give up when they say no. Keep going. Keep knocking until you get the answer. And the answer is there,” she said.
Also, while speaking, she made mention of the advancement in technology leading to some good and bad issues. However, Honourable cautioned these young ladies to be careful of the dangers of technology.
“… In the same way it exposes you to dangers that we didn’t have in our time. And some people can capture anything that is happening in life and that image is permanently kept.”
“That means we also have to be on our guard and so be careful,” she added.
Honorable Ursula further stated that they are to adapt to change since ” circumstances will change and so you need to be able to adapt to these changing circumstances as well.” And adding that, ” life isn’t static. The best mice and men sometimes get derailed”
