The Breast Screening Services, a Cape Coast based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), in partnership with Mammocare and support from the Margins Group will organize a breast screening exercise on the University of Cape Coast campus, as part of activities marking this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The screening exercise will take place at the forecourt of the Sam Jonah Library (Main Library) from Wednesday, 18th October to Friday, 27th October, 2017.
The 5th Oguaa Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, which is on the theme: ” Breast Screening Saves Lives”, is celebrated every October to create awareness about breast cancer and also to provide a platform for people to get screened.
An organizer of the programme and a Snr. Lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences (SMS), Dr. Akwasi Anyanful, in an interview with Choicism.com, encouraged students, lecturers and the entire university community to take opportunity of the exercise to get screened.
