Life-Link Students’ Association , LLSA, a branch of life-link friendship schools has held its first general meeting on Sunday at the NLT8.
The meeting saw the gathering of both new and old members of the association for the first time this semester.
The chairperson for the event Mr. Sam Joe Boateng, who is currently an MPhil student at the Institute of Development Studies, UCC in his acceptance speech noted that peace was very necessary for the development of any organization and any country.
The President of the association Mr. Innocent Abudetse in his welcome address said the main goal of the association is to act as a forum for students to network and socialize which is done through debating and caucusing which normally happens during model United Nations simulations organized by the life-link friendship schools.
He also praised the immediate past executives of the association for ably organizing the first ever tertiary model united nations (TMUN) in the country. He emphasized the need to add value to one’s self in addition to the certificates acquired from the university.
This he said is possible by joining such astute associations as life link students’ association.
The meeting ended with the chairperson endorsing the association and pledging to be a staunch member.
