The University of Cape Coast (UCC) is now admitting students with WASSCE/SSCE certificates for a 4-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree programme at the University.
WASSCE/SSCE holders who wish to apply for the 4-year Post – WASSCE/SSCE LLB Programme are expected to have credit passes in six (6) subjects with an overall aggregate of EIGHT (8) or better at the WASSCE/SSCE respectively in order to be considered for admission.
Also, three of the six subjects should be core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies and the other three being electives.
Over the years, application for the LLB degree programme at UCC was only for 3-year Post First Degree LLB, where students were admitted after obtaining a good first degree in any field of study from a recognized University or obtained a post-graduate qualification from a recognized University.
Admission into the LLB degree programme for the 2018/19 academic year is currently ongoing with the sale of scratch cards for online application at a fee of Gh₵600.00 and Gh₵400.00 for Ghanaian Post-First Degree and Post-WASSCE/SSCE applicant respectively and US$ 350.00 for international applicants. Applicants are to note that the programme is strictly fee-paying.
The application fee covers the cost of processing applications, entrance examination, interviews, and publication f examination results/selected candidates.
The deadlines for the sale of scratch cards for Ghanaian applicants and the submission of completed application forms for all applicants are Monday, 19th March, 2018 and Friday, 23rd March, 2018 respectively.

Applicants should visit www.ucc.edu.gh then go to the Quick Links and click on Apply Now for further instructions. Applicants should select the POST FIRST DEGREE application type (for First Degree Holders) or FIRST DEGREE POST WASSCE (for WASSCE/SSCE applicants).
Ghanaian applicants are required to provide the following information at the back of the Large EMS envelope:
Application reference number
Type of Application (Post First Degree OR First Degree Post WASSCE/SSCE)
Applicants are advised to read application instructions as well as the contents of the Faculty Brochure very carefully before completion of the online application form.
SUBMISSION OF COPIES OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS
(a) Copies of completed online application form (confirmation page) accompanied by copies of certificates should be sent by POST and NOT delivered by hand and should reach the Director, Directorate of Academic Affairs (DAA), University of Cape Coast not later than Friday, 23rd March, 2018.
Applicants are to ensure that copies of the confirmation page and other attachments are posted early enough to be received before the deadline for submission as forms received after the deadline will not be processed.
(b) No additional documents will be accepted after submission of confirmation pages. Applicants are to note that only photocopies of certificates results slips (not returnable) should accompany confirmation pages. Original certificates of applicants offered admission will be inspected during the interview.
(c) Application forms received without Application Reference Numbers and copies of certificates/results slips and payments receipt will not be processed. COPIES OF TRANSCRIPTS ARE TO BE FORWARDED DIRECTLY BY UNIVERSITIES ATTENDED BY APPLICANTS.
