A conference on the Public Order Act and Procedures of organizing meetings has been held at the University of Cape Coast on the theme “The Public Order Act and Fundamental Human Rights, the Role of Stakeholder”. This was organized by final year Bachelor of Management Studies Student as part of their course requirement.
In her opening address Miss Elizabeth Essandoh explained that the purpose of the conference is to expose participants on the practicality and technicalities involved in organizing meetings and other legal provisions to follow when conducting a meeting. Participants were taken through the rudiments of meetings through presentations, discussions forum and sketches.
Speaking on the theme Her Ladyship Justice Mrs. Hannah Taylor of the Secondi High Court explained in detailed the legal issues and procedures to follow regarding the Public Order Act and the application of due process of law.
The Conference was attended by students from the University Community, Lecturers and Mr. Michael Arthur Dadzie a Parliamentary Candidate for Cape Coast South Constituency who was also a guest speaker for the programme.
