Country Awards Council Ghana has presented a Lifetime Award to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. D. D. Kuupole for his contributions to education.
The Vice-Chancellor is the 6th high profile personality to receive the Life Time Award from the Council.
Award
Country Awards Ghana as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations decided to recognise some personalities who have contributed immensely in their fields of endeavour. The Award, Heroes of Language Research and Higher Education Achievement Award was presented to Prof. Kuupole for his contributions to academia, teaching of the French Language, research and management of Higher Education.
Presenting the award, Dr. Kwame Safo Adu said it was appropriate for Prof. Kuupole to be honoured even as he ends his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor and also retiring from over three decades of active public service.
Appreciation
Prof Kuupole thanked the Council for their gesture saying “This award is not for me alone, but those I work with. Without them I could not have achieved anything”.
“I dedicate this award to all staff, no amount of words can express my gratitude, and only the almighty can replace all they have invested in me”.
He urged Ghanaians to work hard to make the world a better place for all humanity.
