The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has released the much awaited for Personal Identification Number (PIN) Codes for the enrolment of prospective national service personnel for the 2018/2019 year, a statement signed by the Acting Executive Director of the Scheme, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, has said.
The codes, about 100,209 from all 124 accredited tertiary institutions in the country could be assessed by all prospective national service personnel on the scheme’s website www.nss.gov.gh with their respective registration or index number, as provided by their institution.
After assessing the code, prospective personnel are then to proceed to any Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) Ltd branch in the county to pay an amount of GH¢ 40 to activate the codes for the enrollment process.
The PIN Codes could also be activated by payment via MTN mobile money by following these steps:
1. Dial *170#
2. Choose Option 2 “Pay Bill”
3. Choose General Payments (Option 6)
4. Enter Payment code as – NSS PINCODE (type NSS, put a space, then type your PINCODE).
The menu will return to your name for confirmation.
5. Enter deposit amount (GH¢40.00).
6. Enter NSS reference
7. Enter PIN to confirm payment
Individuals who pay through this process will receive a message to confirm their transaction.
Hon. Ussif encouraged all prospective national service personnel to complete their enrollment process on or before Thursday, May 31, 2018.
