Lambert Keshall, known in student front as Asempa was alleged to have been attacked by one Frimpong, the Tescon President of the University of Cape Coast on Sunday night around the hours of 12:00 am when he (Frimpong) and other guys invaded the hostel of Asempa.
Asempa who is a resident in a hostel around Ayensu area said that he heard a heavy bang on his door, only to be met by a group of students who had painted their faces with charcoal, panting furiously.
He said the leader of the group (Frimpong) claims his girlfriend (whose name has been withheld) had informed him that he (Asempa) had lodged a complaint with the police because some students had plotted evil against him for his involvement in the brouhaha regarding the SRC contest.
But in a phone interview with Frimpong, he denied the claims by Asempa and said that his girlfriend had told him that Asempa has been fuming around that he had lodged a complaint with the police to come and arrest him, so he only went to Asempa’s hostel to ask him why Asempa want to arrest him.
He said Asempa never even came out of his room, but they only had a verbal exchange through the window, so he is surprised that Asempa is claiming he and other guys came there to attack him.
