Paul Addah, Chief Justice of the Student Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast has been appointed as the Chief Justice of National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) during a National Central Committee Meeting at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi over the weekends.
On that note, the SRC President of University of Cape Coast, His Excellency, Francis Kwabena Arthur has on behalf of students congratulated his Lordship Paul Addah on his monumental appointment.
A statement signed by the SRC President read as follows:
On behalf of the students of the University of Cape Coast, I wish to congratulate you on your appointment as the new Chief Justice of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) at the just ended National Central Committee Meeting held at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi over the weekend.
I wish to state that your appointment into that high office is no fluke as you have demonstrated distinction and class as well as dedicated and selfless service to UCC since your appointment as the chief justice and that tenets of truth and courage should continue to be your guiding principles.
With your rich institutional memory, unrelented dedication and your levelheadedness for the progress of humanity, I believe these core attributes would help you to shape and direct NUGS in a positive direction.
NUGS just like any organization or association has its own peculiar challenges and set-ups but your ability to surmount these challenges would be pivoted on your ability to braze the odds and see the challenges as opportunities and a way to propel the change we much desire.
I wish to reiterate the commitment of UCC as a family to rally all our armour behind you and we pray the good Lord would make you the Solomon of NUGS so as to integrate all the political divisiveness, the bickering, the rancor, internal waggling, and the acrimony that have over the past years bedeviled the union and stifled it progress of fighting for the welfare of the Ghanaian student.
Remember, “all of us are something but none of us is everything,” and therefore build a strong synergy with all stakeholders ,which would help transform all policy objectives of the union into programmable ideas to ensure at the end of the day Ghana and UCC become the ultimate winners.
Once again we are proud of you for raising high the flag of UCC and we wish you a fruitful tenure of office.
Signed by Francis Kwabena Arthur
SRC President of University of Cape Coast.
