The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ernest Aryeetey has revealed that students who work hard will be awarded the first class degree.
Speaking on Campus Exclusive on Radio Univers 105.7, the Vice Chancellor addressed issues arising from his tenure as vice chancellor over the past five years.
The Vice chancellor stated that the intention behind the introduction of the grading system was not to make it difficult for students to get an A.
He explained that first class degree must reflect the best students. It is therefore necessary that the grading system is made such that data will be distributed normally.

Prof on meal plan “We have done everything that needs to be done to ensure that it comes on.
We will do it only if we have endorsement”.
Prof. Aryeetey On utilities “Now the ministry says it will no longer pay for this directly, the ministry announced to the world that we use utilities of 14million but failed to tell the world that we were given 97,000 last year. .. is it fair that those in the traditional halls don’t pay for utilities while those at the new halls pay. a nuisance of themselves on campus is not acceptable.”
Prof. on Security “The main challenge is finding the resources to pay them as well as finding people with the right credentials to recruit them. technology must be introduced to allow better coverage of what happens on campus”.
