The University of Cape Coast House of Parliament (UCCHP) will today(Thursday),September 3,2015 reconvene after a three-month long vacation recess.
In a WhatsApp chat Wednesday evening,Mr.Victor K. Agyei,the House Clerk,who acted as the Director of Public Affairs of Parliament,told the Choicism.com that members were poised for an educative debate this semester devoid of partisan politics.
He noted that members of the House would this morning debate on the “Arrival of the Freshers and matters arising on campus” as the core motion,adding that, the substantive topic was:”The sudden recruitment of Ghanaians to Islamic State,its implications,effects and solutions”.
Members of Parliament are expected to be at the Chamber by 8:30am.
However,efforts to reach the Majority leader,Hon.Paul Addah and the Minority leader,Hon.Enoch Tawiah,for their comments on today’s sitting proved futile as of press time.
