The current SRC administration of the University of Cape Coast, as part of fulfillment of their manifesto promises have installed street lights at some vantage places in the university in an effort to provide maximum security to students on campus especially during the late hours.
Street lights have been provided around the G-Blocks, in front of the Faculty of Science, the shuttle Station and many other areas that are normally dark during the night and serve as a hideout for criminals who rob students off their belongings.
Speaking to choicism.com on Saturday, April, 5, 2014, the SRC PRO, Robert Ubindam, held that the SRC is committed to ensuring the total welfare of students and therefore is committed to delivering all it manifesto promises.
“Students can testify to the projects this administration has embarked on including the Plant at FELT which will be soon connected to the G-Blocks and the Science Auditorium, the Shuttle Station which is near completion, the street lighting projects among others,” he said.
He maintained that the current SRC administration will go down into history as one of the best administrations if not the best taking into account the achievement they have chalked so far.
He however urged students to seek for information and not just concoct stories whenever it suit them, reiterating that the SRC office belongs to all students.
