The newly elected officers of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana(GRASAG) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) have been inducted into office for the 2015/16 Academic year.
The induction ceremony, which was attended by few people,took place at Felt Auditorium 900 on Friday,May 22, 2015.
Speaking at the induction ceremony, the Dean of students of UCC,Prof. Kwaow Edjah, praised the graduate students for the high degree of maturity and patience in the face of the protracted legal tussle that characterised the SRC elections which resulted in the delay of organising the GRASAG polls.
He added that his doors are open to all graduate students at all times and they should not hesistate to seek for clarification on any pertinent issue on campus.
The inducted officers who took the oath of allegiance included: Styranus Mintah Boateng(President), Grace Ruth Morrison(Vice-President),Samuel Nyarko Agyapong(Secretary), Sandra Amoako-Boateng(Women’s Commissioner),Emmanuel Eshun(Financial Secretary),Micheal Kobina Gyan(Treasurer) and Yalley Clarke Ebow(Organiser).
For his part,Mr.Styranus Mintah Boateng, in his acceptance speech commended the school authorities for
organising elections and promised they would execute their mandate responsibly and professionally.
