The School of Medical Sciences(SMS) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) will on Monday, September 28,2015 begin its annual Health Week on campus.
The event, whose name is dubbed:”A CLEAN NATION, A HEALTHY PEOPLE”, is organized by the Medical Students’ Association (MSA).
On Sunday afternoon,in a whatsApp chat with Miss Helena Antwiwaa Dapaah, the Health Officer of MSA,she said the event was aimed at giving back to the society “what we have learnt over the years by educating people living within the university communities and students on burning health issues”.
She noted that the MSA would organise a free health screening for students from all walks of life during the week.
According to her,it was time medical students socialize themselves with non-medical students in the university to clear up the misconception that the former was not sociable.
