UTAG UCC rejects NEC’s Decision to suspend the ongoing strike

The university Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) branch of the University of Cape Coast has rejected the NEC decision to suspend the ongoing strike.

The referendum held on Monday, 28th February, 2022 constituted
511 voters out of 875 eligible voters took part in the referendum thus representing 58.4% voter turnout.

At the end of the referendum 415 members representing 81.21% rejected NEC decision to suspend the ongoing strike. While 96 members representing 18.79% accepted NEC decision to suspend the ongoing strike.

Also, 81.2% rejected NEC decision to suspend the ongoing strike while 18.79% accepted NEC decision to suspend the ongoing strike.

This was signed by Mr. Kwabena Nkansah Darfor, the chief electoral officer UTAG-UCC.
