The Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Professor D.D. Kuupole has made known steps that the university is taking towards improving infrastructure in the University.
He made this known during the 2016/2017 matriculation ceremony which saw 5051 students being ushered into the University.
According to the VC, the University is putting up lecture theatre complexes out of the proceeds realized from the sandwich programme to support infrastructural development and research in the University.
“To support infrastructural development and research, the University on its own is putting up lecture theatre complexes out of proceeds realized from the sandwich programmes”.
In relation to accommodation on campus, the VC made mention of the University sourcing for loan to put up a similar facility like that of the Superannuation Hostel to improve upon accommodation situation of students in the University.
“Aside the Superannuation hostel, the University is also sourcing for loan to put up similar facility like the superannuation hostel to improve upon the accommodation situation of students in the university’’.
The VC then appealed to the Alumni of the school and other Corporate Organizations to contribute towards the infrastructural development to make life meaningful and more enjoyable for students on campus.
“We take this opportunity to appeal to Alumina, individuals and Corporate Organizations to contribute towards infrastructural development to make life meaningful and more enjoyable for our students on campus”.
