Norman Led UCC SRC Presidency Comes to End With Many Achievements.

In what many students and observers have hailed as one of the most impactful short-term student leaderships in UCC’s history, the 62nd SRC administration, led by His Excellency Abraham Norman Nortey, has left behind a powerful legacy of transformative initiatives, social interventions, and structural developments — all within a short term.

From infrastructure to welfare, from academics to innovation, the Norman-led SRC administration has championed a new chapter in student governance. Among the standout achievements are: 

1. Construction of Norman Bus Stop (AALC–SWLT stretch)

2. Construction of SWLT “Shatta Wale” Footbridge now “Norman Bridge”

3. Introduced 10GB Data Bundle Monthly (with 400 CUG minutes, 100 other-network mins, 200 SMS)

4. Introduced SRC Scholarship Fund which paid fees for needy students 

5. Streetlight Extension to dark spots on campus (from Oldsite Shuttle Terminal to Old Administration Building)

6. Renovation & Repair of Lecture Hall Facilities

7. Implementation of Ayalolo Digital Card System

46. ⁠The SRC through the editorial board produced a magazine for the 2024/2025 administration. (Will be Launched on 16th August)

48. ⁠We organized the first-ever Entrepreneurship Festival 1.0 where students received cash prizes to scale up their businesses.

49. ⁠We organized Corporate U — an inspiring platform that connected students to the professional world, building their confidence and corporate readiness.

50. ⁠We launched Orga-ference, a high-impact event that brought industry players and professionals to train, mentor, and empower students across faculties.
