The President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), His Excellency Abraham Norman Nortey, in collaboration with the 22nd UCC SRC Parliamentary Council, successfully organized an audience with the student body dubbed the “State of the SRC Address 2025” (SOSA).

The highly anticipated event took place on Wednesday, 25th June 2025, at exactly 1:00 p.m. at the New Examination Centre (NEC).
In delivering the address, H.E. Abraham Norman Nortey spoke with a profound sense of humility, gratitude, and responsibility, presenting a comprehensive overview of the progress, challenges, and future direction of the SRC under his leadership. He remarked that, “SOSA is not merely a moment of ceremonial formality; it is a day of reflection, accountability, and renewal of commitment to the ideals of student leadership.”
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Hon. Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, Member of Parliament for the Cape Coast North Constituency; Hon. Emmanuel Okai Mintah, Board Chairman of the National Service Authority; Prof. Daniel Apaak, Dean of Students; and Prof. Dennis Aheto, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast.
The 2025 edition of SOSA stands as a defining moment in student leadership on campus, symbolizing transparency, service, and a shared commitment to student welfare and development.
