The Committee for the establishment of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), has submitted its final report to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. D. Kuupole at his office.
Presenting the report to the Vice-Chancellor, the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Clement Entsua-Mensah noted that they consulted experts from sister universities like the University of Ghana and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and also referred to ICT documents before coming out with the final report.
He however cautioned that the Directorate would require substantial and sustained funding and logistical support to enable it function effectively and efficiently.
Responding, Prof. D. D. Kuupole assured the committee that management would consider the recommendations of before presenting it to the University Council for approval. He noted that the establishment of the Directorate of ICT formed an integral part of his vision for the university. On behalf of management, he expressed gratitude to the committee for presenting its report before the deadline.
