The Dean of the School of Agriculture, Prof. Paa Kobina Turkson, has received an Educational Leadership Award in Putrajaya, Malaysia on 28th September 2013 during the World Marketing Summit 2013 held in Malaysia.
This was a Golden Star Academic and Excellence Award Event that honoured academicians from all over the world for their contribution to leadership in education. The World Marketing Summit hosted Golden Star Academic & Educational Excellence Awards 2013 which recognized Institutions and Individuals who believe excellence is infinite and can lead to shaping the destinies of the future of the World.
Prof Turkson joined the University of Cape Coast in 1988 as a lecturer and rose to the status of a full Professor in 2003. He had been the Head, Department of Animal Science from 1991-93 and 1999-2004; Vice Dean, School of Agriculture 2001-2002; Dean, School of Agriculture 2002-2008 and 2011 to present; and also the first Dean, School of Applied Sciences, Central University College, 2008-2010.
